HIPAA and protected health information
Last updated: April 22, 2026
Our role
When we provide services to a healthcare provider or other covered entity, we typically act as a business associate with respect to protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA. In that case, a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) governs the permitted uses and disclosures of PHI.
Safeguards
We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of PHI in accordance with HIPAA Security Rule requirements and the terms of our BAA. Specific measures may vary by service and environment.
This website
General marketing inquiries made through this website are typically not treated as containing PHI. Do not include patient names, dates of birth, or other identifying health information in contact forms. If you need to share PHI for a service assessment, we will use secure channels as directed under your BAA and policies.
For individuals (patients)
If you are a patient seeking information about your health information rights, contact your healthcare provider. They are responsible for their Notice of Privacy Practices and for responding to access, amendment, and accounting-of-disclosure requests in accordance with HIPAA.
This page is a high-level summary and does not replace a signed BAA or legal review.
